Industrial Oven Removal

We were contracted by Salford University to remove a 16 tonne oven from the third floor of one of their buildings. The ovens were over 20ft long and 12ft deep, as well as being very heavy. The ovens were located on the third floor of the Allerton Building, which was occupied during the day, so we had to carry out the stripping out and removal on a night.

Along with the actual ovens, we were required to strip-out some duct and pipe work, plus two cyclinders with trunking. There was string asbestos on site, so we liaised with asbestos contractors to remove it quickly and safetly.

Since the site was occupied during the day, we also had to ensure that the site was kept clean and tidy and free of spoil. This involved laying down floor protection and setting up dust screens with light grade visqeen.

Our range of works is extensive and varied, as demonstrated by the nature of this work.
